Brand Launch: So Chic Life

moodboard_sneakpeek

I am so excited to post this beautiful design project!  When Alison Ray reached out to me to design a logo and website for her business, So Chic Life, I was beyond inspired. Formerly “Sassy Moms In the City”, Alison decided it was time to take her business in a new direction that required a whole new identity. It was to be classy, feminine and most importantly… CHIC! After spending lots of time getting to know Alison and figuring out how to make this brand reflect her vision, I came up with a mood board that set the tone for the identity. Subtle blush tones with pops of red and just a bit of gold to add some sparkle. Perfect!

Brock Athletic Pilates Branding Identity

This project was very close to my heart. My good friend of over twenty years and my Pilates instructor, who also happens to be my friend decided to go into business together and they hired ME to do their branding identity! We worked on the design for several months, going back and forth on the look. You’ve never met two ladies with more opposing styles! Despite their differing opinions on color, they both had a clear idea of the business and the vibe they wanted it to have. Tomorrow is opening day and I could not be more proud of these ladies. And yes, I will be there getting my sweat on with Stephanie and Heather in the morning!

If you live in Ft. Lauderdale and happen to like Pilates, I highly recommend Stephanie’s workouts. She has a way of pushing me to do things I’ve never been able to accomplish and now that she has this beautiful new studio with the BEST equipment, the possibilities are endless!

Peacock Plumage

Just after dropping my kids off at school yesterday, I saw the most magnificent peacock crossing the street right in front of me. Since he can usually be found somewhere around the campus, he’s become the unofficial school mascot. I hear the residents in the neighborhood aren’t fans of their squawking and pecking, but I am completely mesmerized by their iridescent quills. We’ve seen this alluring jewel tone palette of emerald, aqua, indigo and gold show up in fashion, stationery and home decor. Hmmm… maybe my sighting will inspire my next project!

Art Love: the Aestate watercolor prints // Small square art and room makeover by afterhoursdesignstudio.comDid you ever find a piece of artwork so rad you had to design a room around it? I was trying to decide how to go about revamping a space to turn it into a hangout room for my kids when I stumbled upon this fabulous set of lips by Jessica from the Aestate. Just the right amount of attitude and a big pop of color! Since I was designing for a teenager, the edginess of Jessica’s work was so on point that we ended up using several of her prints along with some of my own artwork to do a gallery wall. The result: a casual and eclectic space where the kids can veg out in style! Check out more of Jessica’s work HERE.
